Counselling In Elstead, Surrey

Hello and welcome to my website.  My name is Martine Haryett.  I offer counselling to children, adults and families.  For many years I have worked with children, teenagers, adults and families in different settings ranging from charities, local authorities and the NHS.  I run my private practice from my home in the village of Elstead, located within easy reach of Guildford, Farnham, Godalming and Aldershot.

I feel very privileged to be allowed to work with my clients when they feel at their most vulnerable.  There are times when we all feel very lonely in this world, frequently when things are not going smoothly in our lives. When this happens we may feel we have nobody to talk to, or we believe that we will be too much of a burden to our friends, I can be there for you to use as a sounding board.  I will give you my undivided, non-judgmental attention for the time we spend together.

I get tremendous satisfaction when my clients have reached the point in their counselling where they feel they no longer need to see me on a regular basis. Clients recognise the importance of being listened to, trusting, valuing and believing in themselves, be they a child, teenager, adult or family.

My counselling approach draws upon a broad training, diverse experiences and importantly a relaxed, honest, patient and respectful manner towards my clients. My aim is to provide a secure and relaxing environment for us to develop a trusting and safe working relationship. I hope counselling will give you the freedom and opportunity to find some understanding and answers to the issues that are worrying you and leaving you feeling unsettled with your life. Counselling Qualifications And Experience

I have a BSc in Integrative Counselling and a Diploma in Counselling Children and Adolescents.

I am registered and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means I work to their Ethical Framework.

I hold Civil Liability Insurance as well as an Enhanced Disclosed Criminal Record Certificate.
